How to activate this euro sim

Please Follow these steps to successfully activate your O2 Euro Sim Card

  1. Provide us with your Activation date of choice. This is the day you are entering the EU or UK.

Q. How do I check my balance?

  1. Step 1: To check your balance text the word 'Balance' to 20202.
    Step 2: You will receive a text straight to your O2 number with the information of your remaining calls, texts and data balance.

Q. How do I ensure that my sim will be activated upon arrival to my destination.

  1. Activation is done automatically from our end all you need to do is:

Step 1: When purchasing your sims, enter the date you would like your sim to be activated.

Step 2: When you have arrived at your destination make sure Data roaming is turned on via settings.

Step 3: You should receive a message from O2 and your sim should be working.

Q. Why is my data/sim not working?

  1. Follow the below steps for troubleshooting:

Step 1: Go to the settings option from your device and make sure data roaming is turned on

Step 2: Go to network settings and make sure the APN is set to O2 pay and go.

Step 3: Go to network settings on your device and click on a carrier manually they vary depending on location. For example, in Germany it should have the following networks:     T-Mobile, Deutesh Telecom and Vodafone.

All you will need to do is go through them one by one till you get the network that connects you successfully.

Q. Can I top up my O2 sim?

  1. O2 have the option to top up if you either run out of days or data. This can be completed via our website and not directly with O2 as you will need a UK credit card and address.

Step 1: Press this link to top up

Step 2: choose a top up option. (Must be the same as your Bundle; for example if you have a Bundle 2, you must top up a Bundle 2)

Step 3: Once you have chosen your top up option, insert your O2 number in the box provided. (Your O2 number has a total of 11 numbers starting with 07)

Step 4: Once purchased it will take around 24 hours for it to be topped up and appear in your account. You will know it has been successful as you will receive a message from O2.

Q. Am I able to top up my sim prior to the 30 days usage.

  1. Yes, if you run out of data prior to the 30 day expiry of the sim, you can top up accordingly with no worries.

Q. Does O2 have a cap on their sim cards?

  1. The Bundle 3 is the only sim card that has a cap of 12GB within the EU. What this means is out of the available 20GB you can only use 12GB and the remaining 8GB can only be used in the UK. On the other hand, there are no caps whilst in the UK (meaning you can use the entire 20GB).

Q. What is the validity of the O2 sim?

  1. O2 sims are all prepaid sims, once activated, it will expire 30 days from that point.

For example: if you ask us to activate your sim on the 14/04/19 your sim will expire on the 13/05/19.
